Environment, Social, Governance

Sustainability helps us drive long-term value for all stakeholders of Inter Pipeline; from our employees in our offices and out in the field, to our customers who rely on our consistent service, to the communities in which we operate.

Everyone wins when we do our jobs well.

Safety and sustainability are top priorities for our employees, customers, shareholders and the communities in which we operate. We post ESG performance statistics each year to further connect with stakeholders and share our progress.

Our reporting, relating to our Canadian operations, is informed by sustainability issues considered to have material impacts on our financial or operating performance, as identified by the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and internationally recognized frameworks including the Global Reporting Initiative’s GRI Standards and the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

What’s Really Important

At Inter Pipeline, we value a safe and healthy environment for today and tomorrow. It’s not just something we talk about; it’s something we do. Our relationship with the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation (AIWC) is an example of that commitment in action.
