The following individuals represent the senior management team of Inter Pipeline.

Christian P. Bayle President & Chief Executive Officer
Christian P. Bayle President & Chief Executive Officer

Date of Appointment: January 1, 2014

Christian P. Bayle joined Koch Pipelines Canada LP (Inter Pipeline’s predecessor) in 1997 and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility. He was appointed Vice President, Operations, in January 2002 and assumed the role of Vice President, Corporate Development, in March 2005. In December of 2008, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, was appointed Chief Operating Officer in March 2011 and was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2014. Mr. Bayle received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 1992 and a Masters in Engineering Management from the same university in 1993. He holds a professional engineering designation and is a member of APEGA. Mr. Bayle was appointed to Inter Pipeline’s board of directors effective January 1, 2017.

Date of Appointment: March 1, 2014

Mr. Heagy is responsible for Inter Pipeline’s financial reporting and compliance, corporate finance, treasury, corporate planning, investor relations, tax, risk management and corporate communications functions, in addition to providing strategic leadership to the corporate and petrochemical business development teams. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Athabasca Oil Corporation, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Provident Energy Ltd., Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Zargon Oil and Gas Ltd. and held several progressively senior financial roles at Encana Corporation. In a career spanning more than 35 years, Mr. Heagy has extensive experience in the areas of corporate finance, accounting, risk management and strategic leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and is a chartered professional accountant.

David Chappell Senior Vice President, Petrochemical Development
David Chappell Senior Vice President, Petrochemical Development

Date of Appointment: September 23, 2016

As Senior Vice President, Petrochemical Development at Inter Pipeline, Mr. Chappell is responsible for structuring petrochemical infrastructure investments and commercial contracts for the company, including the development of the Heartland Petrochemical complex. Prior to joining Inter Pipeline, Mr. Chappell was most recently the president of Williams Energy Canada. Mr. Chappell joined Williams in 2000 and during his tenure has served in various leadership roles, progressing from director to president of the Canadian business in 2012. He has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry and graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and later completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Calgary. Mr. Chappell has worked in the areas of natural gas marketing, straddle plants, natural gas liquids and basic petrochemicals. He served on the board of the Energy Council of Canada for many years and currently sits on the board of the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC). Mr. Chappell was a founder of and helped launch the Resource Diversification Council (RDC) in Alberta and currently serves as Chairman of the board for the RDC.

Anita Dusevic Oliva Senior Vice President, Corporate Services

Date of Appointment: November 1, 2020

Anita Dusevic Oliva was appointed to the role of Senior Vice President, Corporate Services after previously serving as Vice President, Legal of Inter Pipeline. Ms. Dusevic Oliva is responsible for the following areas: legal, regulatory, stakeholder and government relations, land, IT, human resources and Inter Pipeline’s business-wide innovation program. Prior to joining Inter Pipeline, Ms. Dusevic Oliva worked in the legal department of an upstream energy company and as an associate in the energy group at a national law firm. She has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities, oil and gas, construction, labour and employment and regulatory law. Ms. Dusevic Oliva received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999 and her Juris Doctor degree in 2002 from the University of Calgary and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta. She is a former director of the Canadian Energy Law Foundation and the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank.

As Senior Vice President, Petrochemicals at Inter Pipeline, James J. Madro oversees the physical operation and commercial management of Inter Pipeline’s petrochemicals business. Mr. Madro joined Inter Pipeline in 2003 and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of engineering, operations, commercial management and business development. Prior to his most recent appointment, Mr. Madro held the positions of Senior Vice President NGL Processing as of April 2018, Senior Vice President, Operations as of June, 2014 and Vice President, Operations as of December, 2008. Before joining Inter Pipeline, Mr. Madro held various operations and engineering management positions with Gibson Energy and Koch Pipelines. He received a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 1992 and holds a professional engineering designation as an active member of APEGA and APEGS.

Date of Appointment: June 1, 2014

As Senior Vice President, Transportation at Inter Pipeline, Mr. Marchant is responsible for the physical operation and commercial management and development of the pipeline transportation business. Mr. Marchant joined Inter Pipeline in 1998 and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of operations, engineering and business development. He was appointed Vice President, Corporate Planning in November 2006, Vice President, Oil Sands Development in August 2007, Vice President, Transportation in January 2012 and assumed his current position as Senior Vice President, Transportation in June, 2014. Prior to joining Inter Pipeline, Mr. Marchant held various engineering positions with Gulf Canada Resources and Koch Exploration. He received a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 1992 and holds a professional engineering designation as an active member of APEGA.

Bernard Perron Senior Vice President, Projects and Operations Services
Bernard Perron Senior Vice President, Projects and Operations Services

Date of Appointment: April 16, 2018

Mr. Perron is responsible for the execution of Inter Pipeline’s organic growth projects including the Heartland Petrochemical Complex. In addition, Mr. Perron oversees various service groups including EH&S, technical services and integrity, asset and risk management, land services, GIS and drafting, cost control, enterprise content management and project supply chain management. Prior to being appointed Senior Vice President, Projects and Operations Services in April of 2018, Mr. Perron was in the role of Vice President, Project Development. During his 25 year career in the energy industry, Mr. Perron has overseen the execution of major pipeline and facility projects in Canada and internationally. He joined Inter Pipeline in 2008 as General Manager, Project Development where he successfully led the project development team through a period of significant growth. Mr. Perron received an Engineering degree in 1991 from L’École Polytechnique de Montréal and a Master of Business Administration degree in 2010 from Queen’s University. He holds a professional engineering designation and is a member of APEGA.

Nipa Chakravarti Vice President, Marketing

Date of Appointment: November 1, 2020

Nipa Chakravarti joined Inter Pipeline Ltd as General Manager of Information Technology in 2018. In November 2020, she was appointed Vice President of Marketing and is responsible for executing on asset optimization opportunities, transportation and logistics and the management of commodity exposures. Prior to joining Inter Pipeline, she served as the Chief Transformation Officer for TransAlta Corporation, served as Vice President of Information Technology for five years, held the position of Vice President of Customer Service at FortisAlberta and worked as a Senior Manager, Consulting at KPMG. Ms. Chakravarti is known for innovating and implementing Lean methodologies to simplify operation and has successfully led operations, systems, procurement and finance teams. Ms. Chakravarti holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University and is a CPA, CA. and currently sits on the Board of the Prostate Cancer Centre.

Date of Appointment: March 1, 2016

Spil Kousinioris was appointed to the role of Vice President Corporate Development in March 2016. In November 2020, his role expanded to include responsibility for Inter Pipeline’s European bulk liquid storage operations as Chief Executive, Inter Terminals. Prior to his time with Inter Pipeline, Mr. Kousinioris held the position of Senior Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions with Ernst & Young and was previously an advisor for the Royal Bank of Canada in both oil and gas commercial banking and strategic finance. Mr. Kousinioris holds a BA in Economics from the University of Calgary, an MBA from the University of Toronto and is a CFA charterholder.

Date of Appointment: November 1, 2020

Cory W. Neufeld oversees the physical operations, commercial management and development of the Facilities Infrastructure business segment at Inter Pipeline. Mr. Neufeld joined Koch Pipelines Canada LP (Inter Pipelines’ predecessor) in 1996 and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of operations, engineering and business development. Prior to his recent appointment, Mr. Neufeld was Vice President, NGL Commercial as of  April 2018 and held the position of Vice President, Oil Sands Pipeline Development from June 2014. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 1996, holds a professional engineering designation and is a member of APEGA and APEGS.

Jeremy Roberge Vice President, Finance and Investor Relations
Jeremy Roberge Vice President, Finance and Investor Relations

Date of Appointment: April 16, 2018

Jeremy Roberge, Vice President, Finance and Investor Relations, joined Inter Pipeline as Treasurer in June 2004. He is broadly responsible for Inter Pipeline’s capital market, sustainability and investor relations activities, including credit risk, commodity risk management, treasury and communications functions. He was previously in the role of Vice President, Capital Markets. Prior to joining Inter Pipeline, Mr. Roberge spent several years in investment banking involved with corporate finance, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions and related capital market activities. Mr. Roberge graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree and completed his Master of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Richard Sawyer Vice President, EH&S and Technical Services
Richard Sawyer Vice President, EH&S and Technical Services

Date of Appointment: April 16, 2018

As the Vice President, EH&S and Technical Services, Richard (Rick) Sawyer is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the development, execution and continual improvement of programs and initiatives in the areas of safety, environment, asset and risk management, reliability and asset integrity. Mr. Sawyer has been with Inter Pipeline since its formation in 2002 and its predecessor since 1988. He has held various positions of increasing levels of management responsibility and most recently he was the General Manager of Field Operations for Inter Pipeline’s Canadian assets. Since graduating from the Sault College of Technology in Natural Sciences, Mr. Sawyer has completed programs in Environmental Management from the University of Calgary and Executive Leadership from Queen’s University. Mr. Sawyer is a long-standing member of The Association of Science & Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta.

Deborah Close Chair of the Board
Deborah Close Chair of the Board

Deborah Close retired from the position of President of the Production Services division of Tervita Corporation in November 2015, a position she had held since 2010. Tervita Production Services delivers engineering and field-based services to the oil and gas industry. From 2002 to 2010, Ms. Close was the Executive Vice President of DO2 Technologies Inc. (now Enverus), a software company providing electronic invoicing to the oil and gas industry. Prior to DO2, Ms. Close served in a number of Regional Vice President roles in Halliburton Corporation’s software division, Landmark Graphics. During Ms. Close’s 12 years at Halliburton Corporation, she worked in Canada, the US and Europe. Ms. Close currently serves on the board of directors of Descartes Systems Group and Ember Resources Inc. Ms. Close holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calgary and the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and Rotman School of Management.

Brian Baker
Brian Baker

Brian Baker is a Managing Partner and Regional Head of North America for Brookfield’s Infrastructure Group. In this role, he is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities, including the oversight and investment strategy in the region. Prior to joining Brookfield in 2007, Mr. Baker was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for several oil and gas production companies in Western Canada. He was previously a Partner at Collins Barrow Chartered Accountants, where he focused on advisory work in the oil and gas sector. Mr. Baker holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

In December of 2008, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, was appointed Chief Operating Officer in March 2011 and was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2014. Mr. Bayle received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 1992 and a Masters in Engineering Management from the same university in 1993. He holds a professional engineering designation and is a member of APEGA. Mr. Bayle was appointed to Inter Pipeline’s board of directors effective January 1, 2017.

Shelley Brown
Shelley Brown

Shelley Brown has more than 25 years of board experience serving on not-for-profit, association and for-profit corporate boards, including Deloitte Canada, the Accounting Standards Board Oversight Council and the University of Saskatchewan Board of Governors. She brings expertise in strategic planning, good governance, finance and risk management. During her distinguished 40-year career in accounting, Ms. Brown was a partner in two of the world’s largest professional services firms. As chair of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, she played a key role in uniting Canada’s accounting profession, culminating in the creation of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. Ms. Brown currently serves on the board and audit committee of Stantec Inc. and NorZinc Ltd. Ms. Brown holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan and is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant of BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario. In 2018, she was invited into the Order of Canada for her contribution to the community and her profession.

Peter Cella
Peter Cella

Peter Cella has over 36 years of general management and financial experience in the energy and related sectors, including nearly 30 years in the petrochemicals and polymers industry. From 2011 until his retirement in 2017, Mr. Cella was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP, where he led Chevron Phillips Chemical through the development and construction of an ethane cracker and two polyethylene units. Previously, Mr. Cella served in a variety of executive posts at BASF Corporation, INEOS Nitriles (part of the INEOS Group), BP and Innovene, LLC. He began his career at Amoco Corporation in 1981. Mr. Cella is an independent director on the Board and member of the audit, compensation and environmental, health and safety committees of ServiceMaster, a leading provider of essential residential and commercial services in the U.S. Mr. Cella also recently served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Chemistry Council and served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the financial literacy and work-readiness of young people. Mr. Cella holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University.

Glenn Hamilton
Glenn Hamilton

Glenn Hamilton served as Corporate Advisor of Bonavista Energy Corporation (formerly, Bonavista Energy Trust) from May 2015 until July 2016. Prior thereto, Mr. Hamilton served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Bonavista Energy Corporation from June 1, 2008 until May 8, 2015 and prior thereto served as its Vice President of Finance. Mr. Hamilton served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of NuVista Energy Ltd. from July 2003 until May 2006 and served as its Corporate Secretary from July 2003 to June 2008. Prior to Bonavista’s reorganization in July 2003, he spent over five years as Vice President, Finance of Bonavista Petroleum Ltd. and played a key role in the Company’s successful refinancing and restructuring from a junior company to $1.2 billion market capitalization at the time of reorganization. Mr. Hamilton has over 35 years of experience in accounting and finance in the oil and gas industry.  Mr. Hamilton has served on the boards of directors of both public and private energy companies.  He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Ember Resources Inc. and Islander Oil and Gas Inc.   He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University and is a Chartered Accountant and holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Jim Reid
Jim Reid

Jim Reid is a Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group, responsible for evaluating investment opportunities, including investment strategy and transaction execution within the energy sector. Mr. Reid established Brookfield’s Calgary office in 2003 after spending several years as a Chief Financial Officer for two oil and gas exploration and production companies in Western Canada. Mr. Reid holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
