Top Employers Selection Criteria

Since the inception of the Top Employers project in 1999, the selection criteria used by the editors for both the provincial and federal designations have remained the same. The criteria consist of an assessment of:

  • Performance management
  • Training & skills development
  • Community involvement

  • Inter Pipeline’s family-friendly benefits include maternity and parental leave top-up for new mothers (to 100 per cent of salary for up to 16 weeks), and parental leave top-up for new fathers and adoptive parents (to 100 per cent of salary for up to eight weeks) – additionally, the organization offers up to 12 paid flex days to help employees balance work and family commitments
  • Inter Pipeline’s flexible health benefits plan includes generous coverage for mental health practitioner support services (up to $10,000 annually) and features mental health first aid training and a number of wellness-themed events throughout the year for employees and managers
