I Am Inter Pipeline: Following the Wind with Julia Barnes

What do kite surfing and financial reporting have in common? For Julia Barnes, both require adaptability, resilience and the confidence to navigate changing conditions.

As an accountant on Inter Pipeline’s Financial Reporting team, Julia works closely with teams across the organization to help ensure financial results are reported accurately and on time while providing support and guidance to teams across the company.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find her on the water pursuing her passion for kite surfing or behind a camera capturing moments as a lifestyle photographer. It’s through these creative and adventurous pursuits that she has learned valuable lessons she brings back to IPL every day.

Those lessons extend far beyond the water. Through kite surfing, Julia has learned to embrace challenges, view setbacks as opportunities to learn and trust her ability to navigate uncertainty.
